getting ready for General Conference this morning...

Brett and I were rushing and getting ready when the boys came in and stood like this. He said that's a great picture. So I grabbed my phone and here you have it.
The following are words to a hymn by William P. Merrill quoted by Pres. Hinkley in a conference address.

Rise up, O men of God!
Have done with lesser things.
Give heart and soul and mind and strength
To serve the King of Kings.
Rise up, O men of God,
In one united throng.
Bring in the day of brotherhood
And end the night of wrong.
Rise up, O men of God!
The church for you doth wait,
Her strength unequal to her task;
Rise up, and make her great!
Rise up, O men of God!
Tread where his feet have trod.
As brothers of the Son of Man,
Rise up, O men of God!

The Artists

The boys grades at school participated in a living museum. They were to choose artists, research them, write a little summery speech about the artists work and life, then dress and act out their particular artists and what they had written when the public (us parents and the other younger grade students) came to them and touched their elbows. It was neat. Elijah chose MC Escher. Mo was Vincent Van Mough. Haha! Yes I'm laughing at my own little joke!

G-20

So this was a big meeting involving 20 countries of the world hosted by our little mexican tourist town. There was a big push for a lot of workers to get the 4 lane highway looking landscaped & nice and to build a convention center.
For us it meant seeing (& hearing) lots of planes, helicopters, buses, and official looking people and LOTS of police officers and military personnel.
It meant waiting in our car at check points while the police eyed every vehicle carefully and each car was gamma-scanned.
It meant knowing the president of the USA was staying in the development next over from ours, and seeing our crazy local expat friends Facebook photo posts of themselves waving flags and hands wildly to the presidential motorcade as it passed by in front of our houses.
It meant that we got to have an extra long 5 (yeah!) day weekend because they didn't want us little people out on the roads.
All in all-- it was just GREAT to have some days off school! : )

We went to see the Arch

Because Brett had the day off... and because it's there, it's nice and we could. : )

Flamenco festival

So proud of our tiny dancer.

Long weekend fun

Mothers day

Just blessings to be counting...

Mermaid party

Children's day- without a mother

Thank goodness for Super dad who in my absence got off work as quick as he could and took the kids out to celebrate!

Karen and Dan

Being in Az. for this special event was so good. Good food, good work, good friends, good family, GOOD TIMES!
These two kids are such incredible individuals. So glad we all came!

Last week of Spring Break

We did the water park and stayed at daddy's hotel. When the boys got back from Utah we picked them up at the airport and drove straight to the beach to be at our ward beach activity. Niceness
